Hi:
The Retroarch supports 240p output signal like as FCEUGX and others wii emulators?
This option is called original in FCEUGX and also known as double strike in Wii Mednafen...240p native support for the wii is fantastic for me who likes to play in OLD CRT tubes and is what made me choose it...
Support for double strike resolutions and other resolutions was added to the development tree a couple weeks ago, and will be in the next big release. If you want to try it out now, you can compile a build yourself.
Some initial testing shows results that are very similar to the actual systems. Example:
Normal RetroArch resolution (480i) -

224 double-strike resolution -

Bad comparison.
Why the hell use pictures taken of a lcd tv?
Naturallay there would be no difference since your tv scaled the image up.
The point of 240p on a emulator is to get scanlines on a crt tv like the original consoles do.
This is naturally achieved by feeding a 240p signal to crt tv.
The image will not alter much on a lcd tv ( if the lcd tv can process the signal )
But any way GREAT NEWS.
Also the real question for many of us will there be 240p or similar support for the finalburn cores?
That would really set this emulator apart from others.
As this would mean proper scanlines for the capcom playsystem 1/2 games on a crt monitor/ tv using a rgb scart lead.
If this all works out well, retroarch gx is truly a gift from heaven for me personally.
THANK YOU!
