Relapse PS5 kernel exploit brings homebrew to firmware 7.00-13.60

The PlayStation 5 scene has received a massive breakthrough with the public release of Relapse, a new exploit chain developed by Nathan Fargo in collaboration with Sonic ISO and other prominent scene developers.

The exploit targets firmware versions 7.00 all the way up to 13.60 across original, Slim, and Pro console models. This release drastically improves loading times for newer firmwares (above 12.00), dropping wait times down to just a few seconds compared to older, slower methods.
  • Supported Firmware: 7.00 – 13.60 (Firmware 14.00 and above remain unexploited).
  • Execution: Utilizes a browser-based entry point combined with a kernel exploit chain to grant kernel read/write access.
  • Payloads: Initial hosting variants support essential tools including Kstuff, Shadow Mount Plus, and ETA-HEN for running homebrew and game backups.
  • Please note: the exploit is temporary meaning a full system reboot requires re-running the exploit .
Users staying on lower firmwares looking to jump into the homebrew scene are advised to disable automatic system updates immediately to prevent accidental firmware upgrades.

It's going to be pretty hysterical if GTA6 day1 launch can run on a hacked PS5.
Oh yeah. Sony and Rockstar are probably looking at this and rubbing their hands going "Hello, lawsuit".

Guys, with this new found exploit, can I finally be Jack Sparrow of PS5?
You'll be John Rackham, at best.

Hopefully this means that GTA VI can be dumped. Backport will probably take a while but who knows. Maybe with PS5 emulation progressing it'll be playable on PC via Emulation.
Maybe they can make the dump+emulation happen two weeks early. GTA VI seems to have enough hype for that to be possible.

good for people that already have one. Don't see myself buying a PS5 for the 5 esclusive games it has right now.

Only Astro Bot and Grand Turismo 7.

But isn't Gran Turismo 7 an online only game even in single player? Then I wouldn't even count it as a game.
Gran Turismo 7 does require a constant internet connection to play in single player mode, but if we take GT Sport as an example, they'll likely release an update that makes the game playable offline.

Just stupid to make people wait years for an offline update.
