Could someone correct me if I'm wrong, but was Resident Evil 5 the ONLY resident evil game that has two players on it?

Also, which resident evil game did you guys think was the best worthy to play? I'm looking for a resident evil game and was really hoping that one of them for the wii has two-players

Both of the Chronicle games have multiplayer. They are on rail shooters. Outbreak 1 and 2 also had online multiplayer, but servers are down. RE:DS had local multicard play too.
As for the best Resident Evil, go with REmake. That was the one released on the Gamecube.

'Resident Evil 'Remake', the only one worth playing in my opinion. Many people swear to 'Resident Evil 2', but I personally didn't like it much.

I can say I played all of them at some point, minus the one for PSX that was a light gun game I can't remember the name.
I think I enjoyed most RE2 ( I played that on the N64 ) and RE Code Veronica ( I played that when it came out and was an exclusive for the Dreamcast, it was amazing and the first one with 3D live rendered backgrounds ).
On the GC RE4 was amazing of course, but on the Wii despite the improved controls, it feels a little dated, especially graphic wise .
Also Umbrella Chronicles was an alright on rails shooter and I had a lot of fun unlocking all the stuff.

The original is still the original and one of the best, especially the GC remake, but the ones I mentioned are the ones I remember most fondly.

I think the two player thing's already been answered, I just had to post here saying how perfect RE:4 is. On a standard definition 68cm TV it looks a treat too! Playing it on a HD TV isn't the best idea though.. All up I've finished it about 15 times, and I'm still finding new things I've never seen before. The other day I finally found the antique pipe!! Such a good surprise

They haslve dedicated on board chips that aren't tweaked like x64/x32 afaik
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
but its a custom os for both of them

    designed for only specific hardware
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
so you have to learn to emulate that specific hardware which isn't as easy as you'd think

It's a locked down Linux distro basically
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think the only custom hardware is to do with the SSD and a security chip
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Probably combined in one chip
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They place married security chips onto boards iirc

Didn't see much need for a console, all the advantages have kind of disappeared
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
the ps3 used to support installing linux because the cpu was so powerful
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Then the games are $70 and they want to reboot and refresh the same game every year
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
The ps3 was always Linux they just found a way to make it open source
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
I'm avoiding buying from the big 3 at all atm

At one point PC game pads where poorly supported, loading a game had setup, it was complicated. Now it's almost as easy as a console.

Xinput and 360 dongles were a driver nightmare
