Hardware Removing the screws from the N3DS XL backplate

Who has tried this? Having to use a screwdriver to remove the SD card is really annoying.

Also, what is the best way to remove the screws? Is it possible to slide the washers off, or do I have to cut them?

i have done this with my regular n3ds.

use a tiny flat head screwdriver, put the tip in one of the holes between the screw and washer and gently pry it out. it's painless and i'm pretty sure you can easily re-attach them.

you do end up with a little bulge near the center of the back which pushes in, it's a little bigger than when the screws are used but also smaller than if you left the screws in loose.

as for the xl, i can't remember if there are any clips along the top edge where the screws are, i'm pretty sure there aren't so you would probably get a small bulge too. the xl also has heaps of clips so it should hold very tight even without the screws.
