So is the end goal for it to be exactly like unity, except it can export to 3DS? If so, then that's hella sweet (as the kids say)
Meh. We could possibly make it exactly like the official exporter, but I dunno if we could squeeze in the very advanced stuff!

More specifically, will it ever support 3D objects, or will it be limited to PNG?
Well, looking at Smealum games like 3DSCraft and Aperture Science 3D, I guess we could convert objects for 3DS Homebrew support.

If you're on windows you can use the github GUI, even though it's not that good it gets the job done
I'm sorry, what's the github GUI? I was thinking more along the lines of importing my code.

FINALLY! I've been waiting for a Wire3D replacement. Do I need 5.2.3 or can I use any version on Unity 5?
