Had to turn my computer in for repair since it's getting older, I will probably be back in a few days with it repaired. I originally intended to release the update in April but personal stuff came up lol.

Edited the post with some images, at this moment I just need to give some touches to the battle system and add Flowey's encounter. The battle system is not yet done, cause I need to make it easier to work with for adding enemies, flavor text and all that stuff, but for this update I might keep it like this so I can deliver it a bit quicker

I lied lmao, I wanted to add more rooms so I did just that, now there's five rooms will full collision.
The flower bed room, Flowey encounter room, the room with the first savepoint (no savepoint added as of right now), the first puzzle room and the big room with levers and bridges.

EDIT: My computer works now yippee
EDIT 2: I forgot to also mention I added a 3D banner, adding it to the images

I finally got borders to work! I changed them to be on the top screen, makes more sense over there.
I got some work done on the text and dialogue system, still kind of rough but it works pretty well with npcs, so I made the first dialogues of Flowey, no encounter yet but hey the text is there! There's some slight errors in Flowey's dialogue cause I mostly added it from memory so uh, yeah...
Hopefully I can actually start adding some content after I get some more work on battles and the dialogue system, this is getting very exciting!

Edited the post, enjoy! (The build in the video showcase also works in old models!)

EDIT: I know I haven't release the update I promised back in March:sad:
I am very busy sometimes and get no time to work on this, hope you all understand haha

Battles are finally functional! …somewhat
Added a small video showcase to the post of a working battle running on a o2ds with attacks and all! (Well a single attack, but hey it's still somethin!)
It runs generally well, but it does lag quite a bit when a lot of attacks are spawning at once. Movement is kinda meh, it'll definitely need some speed adjustments and make it better feeling overall. I'm pretty content with the current results!

It runs pretty much flawlessly on N3ds :grog:
And yes the tom blasters are just placeholders, thought it would be funny

Made a lot of progress for the Flowey encounter! Edited the post with an image, now I only need to make the pellets he throws at you and the pellets circle at the end of the encounter! I'll probably also make the text in the name select be able to be compatible with the touchscreen, and after I'm done with that I'm releasing this small but significant update!!

This is getting super exciting :grog:

did you see that "Undertale battle system on Unity" and "Underclone"? Both ported battle system to Unity

I'm almost done with the update! It's been a long time coming haha.
A lot of stuff's been going on so I don't get THAT much time to work on this, but I'm still making progress!

Some stuff I've been working on in no particular order:
  • I've updated the Main Scene select, you can choose between Sound Test, the Game, and if you want to skip the intro cutscene and the name select you can just go into the Room select. Chairiel will accompany you in the scene select.
  • There are only five rooms at the moment, I'll be adding more now that I've made my tile map system a bit better so I don't have to resort to images lmao.
  • The Sound test now has about 20 songs-ish, and loads almost instantly! Pretty cool ey?
  • I've added a small loading screen whenever the games takes a bit to load certain scenes, like the intro cutscene.
  • Battles are still pretty unstable at the moment, so the update will only have the first half of the Flowey encounter, and no random encounters.
  • I've disabled borders for now, as they're a bit wonky on old models still, they work just fine on New models but I want everything to work as expected on all models, I'll get back to working on borders later, again.
  • Fixed SEVERAL bugs
End of List of thingingenses

Right now I'm working on adding a toggle to change analog movement on the circlepad to 8 directions, cause I know some people will feel weird when using analog movement, heck even I feel it weird! hahaha

I'm thinking of fixing a small issue with text audio and some collisions in the rooms, and after I'm done with that I'll release this little update! Stay tuned, or not idk lol

P.S. I added a picture of the new Scene select menu to the post

I've updated the post with the link to it, it's in the same repo

All the additions are also in the post now (it's mostly what I've already mentioned in comments above), thanks to everyone who checks on this thread! Hopefully releases won't take as long anymore

I've been taking a small break, I'll probably start working on this again pretty soon hopefully.
