Does thi CIA work on N3DS?
I remember I installed it on my OG3DS right into the sysNAND before I had GW emuNAND running.
I just went into GW mode without formatting the NAND, opened up BBM and installed it, but I want to know if the same can be done for a N3DS.

I never used blue card before, what files should be on blue card micro SD after I install the .cia to play DS games? The 'Blue Card (R4i)' folder, or nothing at all?

This is awesome. I can finally sell my fat DS (yeah I know I'm a bit late to the party).

Anyone want to buy a grey fat DS in good condition?

-Nevermind - Found my answer-

From what I've read as long as you make a backup of your sysnand with gateway you can. You just use the gateway downgrade function with your sysnand backup to get it back to normal.

Lol I replied too late, smyers was asking if you can get your sysnand back to normal after installing this cia.

I have some blue card questions.

1. Should I avoid putting the 3ds to sleep whilst the game is running (like the red card)?
2. Does the .SAV file get written only after you close the game (like the red card)?

So i'm a bit confused as to which versions of the DS Cart Whitelist and TWL_FIRM I should be downloading with 3DSNUS. Are the versions below correct?

DS Cart Whitelist = 0004800F484E4841 - v0 spoofed to v11265
TWL_FIRM = 0004013800000102 - v1489 spoofed to v8818 <[EDIT-Dont spoof version, delete current TWL_FIRM before installing]

Also, would installing these CIA's cause any issues when using the DS profile exploit for Gateway?

Lastly, can both CIA's be installed on all 3DS systems? (3DS, 3DS XL, 2DS, n3DS, n3DS XL) If not is there any way to install them on a n3DS?

I'm also curious about this. I'd imagine that region is a factor, but I'm not sure about console-to-console.

dont do anything with TWL_FIRM unless you can properly downgrade it, if you try spoofing you will brick NDS mode

I thought I could delete TWL_FIRM and the reinstall the older version as per Technicmaster0's post?:

This will not work with the New 3DS or New 3DS XL!

A quick update on how to enhance the compatibility widely (so far unknown bricking risk) including DSi mode on CycloDS iEvolution:
1. install the CIA from this thread, stay without EmuNAND
2. Download the TWL_FIRM CIA with 3DNUS and put it on the 3DS' SD card (I tested it with 0004013800000102 v1489 for Europe)
3. Delete the old TWL_FIRM from the NAND
4. Install the new TWL_FIRM CIA

Or do you mean just dont spoof the version number?

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
