just want to ask about the 2nd change log of v1.7

it says
"* Fixed: Override the imported icon.bin flags with another ones, so the game will show on the activity log, and the parental controls won't be a problem."

im little bit confused...

on my undestanding, the older build of the injector, once a custom gbc is run, 3ds doesnt register the custom vc on activity log?
and the newer injector register the custom gbc vc on activity log? am i right?

how bout the parental controls?

ca you elaborate more the #2 changelog? (sorry for being a noob...)
anyway, thanks for improving the injector...

He has just changed the flags in the icon.bin; icon.bin flags determine if the game will save when closing, if it is visible on the HOME Menu, if the game uses EULA, etc.

In the original the flags were incorrect; if you tried to close the exported game on your 3DS it prompted you that unsaved data will be lost; a newer version fixed that, and now when you close it, it says "Saving data and closing software", which is normal, considering all the other official VC games have this saving data prompt.

The fixed imported icon.bin thing is when you import an already created icon.bin at Step 2. In 1.6 and older versions, if you import an icon.bin at Step 2 from an external source and you make the CIA, that game won't show on the activity menu, because most of the external icon.bin files the users used to import were generated in a way that the flags were incorrect (for example, not allowing the game to show on activity menu). I fixed that by overriding the imported icon.bin flags with ones that I know are correct (in other words, now I only take the game icon and the game name from the imported icon.bin, not the whole file).

Ok, so there's no difference between versions if all you do was select a rom, type in the info, and let the program handle the rest.

Exactly. It was a bug only when importing an external icon.bin.

i understand your english well, sometimes peoples understanding are different...
me too, english is not my native language... :-)

anyway, regarding @CatmanFan post about closing the gbc vc, there are two out put when suspending then closing the game:
1. prompted you that unsaved data will be lost (present on newer GBC vc with wireless capability like official RBY)
2. Saving data and closing software (present on older GBC vc like pokemon TCG and puzzle leage)

but your ultimate gbc vc injector always produces the #2.
is there a possibility to create another version of the injector
in which we can choose what prompt we will be seen when closing the game after suspending...

so we can make GSC with the prompt #1 like RBY...

sorry for being an OCD but i think everone wants to make an official-looking gbc vc...

The game boy color virtual console supports NES and FDS Games.
Could you possibly look into getting FDS (Famicom Disk System) Support added along with the Famicom Disk system banner from your NES Inject Program?
That feature may be implemented into the Ultimate NES Injector instead of this one.

Trying to put a JPG as the gbc banner in step 3, and i have the correct dimensions in, but it keeps on showing this after i select the banner image, this shows up.

Any fix?

New version 1.8!

What's new:

+ Added: Option to make 160x144 (GBC pixel perfect original) screen without pressing START or SELECT (but with black borders). Asked by @Feffe.
* Fixed the inner image loading issue at step 3 that was present in v1.7. Reported by @alucard73 and @Boe.
