Why did you tag me?
Getting lost in the thread... You posted the cetk links but then I thought you couldn't figure out what to do with them. Or if you did figure it out, you didn't share in which case you deserved tagging for a different reason.

Edit: checked again. Last you said was to simply download the cetk and place in /sys. That was wrong.

Where did you find that path?
All I can see in the source is "SYS_PATH/cetk" which is /rxTools/sys/cetk

n3DS 9.0.20E:
Installed manualy the new payload from smealum. Installed the new 2.5 HBL from smealum also.
Standby is working. eShop is working. rxTools is booting fine from 2.5 HBL. CakesFW does not start for me on 2.5 HBL.

does the latest nightly still work on ninjhax 1.1?

Looks like the person above you got it to run with 2.5, so why not give it a shot?

@Dean_ 173210 gave it to me.
Edit: configuration.c: getOrgFirmPath(path, hiId, "_cetk");
and as you now know, the firmware path is now /rxtools/firm

also, SYS_PATH/cetk may have been in the cetk commit, but it doesn't exist in the current tree (confused because I don't see a commit that mentions the change...)

Anyway, 173210 has a fix for the data installation error. Just needs to be merged.

For the release rxTools_10-02-15_19-07.9f48bb8 on n3DS this was to do:
  • In Reinand archive find firmware.bin
  • extract it to rxtools/data
  • rename the firmware.bin into 0004013820000002orig.bin
Does this has changed for the newer rxTools releases?

in the newer releases, n3ds is broken. Don't even bother right now.

Latest nightly should be fixed for o3DS data installation issue, as long as you have your setup done correctly (look at the readme in the tools folder)

Latest Git commit: cbec77e
Latest build: cbec77e
Build date: 15-10-27 @ 05:46 UTC
Builder: XEON VPS Buildbot

I use the same one and it works like a charm form me. You better stay at this one and wait for the final release or at least a release that bring somthing new to n3ds.

Did it last night on my old 3ds, it works great thanks, now I'm trying to install it on my jap n3ds (i just want to get my nand xorpad to change my jap emunand to usa) using mset but mset installer doesn't have a 9.x rxtools only 4.x, 4.x dg, 6.x, 4.x ndg, wich one should i use?

edit: my mset is already downgraded i used it to boot Gateway, with a few try, i found out that i had to use the option 4.x dg.

So I decided to upgrade my old3DS to 9.2.0-20U.

I decided to do the whole auto-boot method for RXTools.

However, when I used browserhax to launch the homebrew loader, and choose the themehax installer, I just get the following error.

Invalid HTTP content-size: 0x0000a45c
Failed to download the actual payload with HTTP: 0xfffffffd
Installed failed 0xffffffffd

My internet is enabled, is the themehax installer down?

Ideally I'd like to use themehax to autoboot (without holding L) to go to emunand. It's working fine on my other 3DS.

Download the offline themhax installer. Has been helping another person with this, so check out that thread https://gbatemp.net/threads/offline-installer-of-themehax-dont-work.401033/#post-5763926
