I am confused. I can't get MSET to work.

On 7.2 sysnand (technically it was 6.2.0-12U because I updated through Pokemon Omega Ruby game card). EmuNand 9.8. Downgraded MSET settings with Rxtools. Don't have any flash cart. Has code.bin from this post https://gbatemp.net/threads/release...olkit-fw-2-0-9-2.382782/page-318#post-5568739. Installed latest RXtools beta https://gbatemp.net/threads/release...olkit-fw-2-0-9-2.382782/page-325#post-5570763 .

Can anyone spoon-fed guide me to install MSET?

MSET is only supported on sysnand 4.x, 6.x and 9.2 so far.

I am new so I don't know what is this. When I click on System settings - Profile - Nintendo DS Profile, it show card-like on top screen with the ID number and birthday.

So if I restore my sysnand to 6.2.0-12U this will work?

Yes, you can restore your backup if you prefere.

You can keep the mset rop for rxTools and intall cubic ninja as .cia in your sysnand and install the gateway launcher for ninjhax (run cubic ninja with rxTools in devmode)

Edit : like that you can stay offline.

Nope, only 4.X MSET and 4.1-9.2 spider for the O3DS and OOT/CN/MSET for the N3DS.

I tested on 7.1 and it works fine, and it should work on 8.X as well.

Don't use syspudater, install the .cia that 3DNUS will download for you, with the DevMenu or FBI, BigBluMenu.

By the way, i tried to upgrade to the newest version from 2.6 and now when i boot up Rxtools it tries to install something to the SD but fails, anyway to fix this?

Can't get Mset to work here either. I'm on 9.0 sysnand, and within rxinstaller.nds, I install 9.x for rxtools.dat (Using the latest beta)
Then I go to Settings: Other settings, Profile, DS Profile and it just brings me to regular DS Profile.

Would it have anything to do with my mset being downgraded? Thinking about restoring my nand.bin to restore it and try again.

You can also try with the CakesROP, put both files on your micro sd card, Execute the CakeROP from your ds flashcart and select 4.X DG ropCustom.txt.

I previously had 4.5 mset rxtools working already. I got 9.2 mset working on USA old 3ds by updating from 4.5 to 9.2 via pasta and sysupdater. Files from 3dnus for 9.2 has a total of 126 files. I used 3.0 b5 of rxtools.
I removed 3 following CIAs from 9.2 update folder to enable flashcart usage and keep old system settings:

0004001000021000 mset
0004800F484E4841 ds whitelist
0004013800000102 TWL_FIRM

Put the total of 123 files (3 removed) in "updates" folder and update. After the update you should be in 9.2 and now just use flashcard and install 9.x mset with rxinstaller.nds. DO NOT USE sysupdater in rxmode or you will brick!

GBA games still work in sysnand, enjoy 9.2 themes w/ mset!

You can manually downgrade your mset, just launch gateway mode on sysnand then install mset_usa.cia (from the gateway site) with devmenu.3ds.
