Hacking [Release] Language Emulation Plugin for NTR 1.0/2.2

I have reinstalled everything two times, but still no success. I could make a video but you would see:
1. I installed NTR 2.2;
2. I downloaded your Language files;
3. I created a folder called "plugin" in the SD root;
4. Inside "plugin" I created a folder for EU Majoras Mask called "0004000000125600";
5. Inside that folder I put a file from the download called "langemu_en_europe.plg";
6. I booted NTR;
7. I put the cartridge in;
8. I booted the game;
9. The 3DS Logo appears;
10. The screen flashes green once;
11. The animated 3DS logo continues without an end.

can you find my mistake?

I have an 9.2JP console and an EU game. I tried the english europe and german europe patch.

my console is 9.2JP and it works for me too, I can't figure out the problem currently. did you put any other file on plugin/0004000000125600 ?

no, I also have used a "clean" sd card. The SD is the last thing that I havent changed, since I have no other. I will get one and try that. But thats the last idea I have :/
I have defenetly followed the instructions.

have you tried reinstalling the CN save following step 3 from the NTR setup guide
1 Download zip: http://filetrip.net/dl?c0fcnfa5mZ
2 copy ntr.bin to your N3DS's microsd card.
3 Start Cubic Ninja, Click Edit->QR Code and scan the QR file. (JAPAN.png for JP consoles, and EUROPE_USA.png for other consoles)
(Hint: If you have installed other exploits already, hold L+R+X+Y at game's main menu to erase the savedata)
4 Press A to install the BootNTR.
5 Turn off your console.

No, clean SD and only the Nintendo stuff and NTR.bin and plugin folder. Inside only the game folder with one file (the patch). Nothing more. I will try the debugger when I get home later, I will keep you uptodate. Thank you both for your help :)

Ok, brand new SD, I copied only the Nintendo folders, completely reinstalled it, no luck. The debugger says:

SOLVED the hidden files are the problem! Man, I love my Mac but the creation of this things suck^^ Its really hard to find a problem when you cant see it, thank you all for your help :)

its probably the loading plugin: /plugin/0004000000125600/._langemu_en_europe.plg, size: 00001000, addr: 07014000
i assume your using mac, if so try manually deleting the ._langemu_en_europe.plg file, NTR is probably trying to load it up as a actual plugin and failing....hate all those DS_Store files etc that Mac's plaster all over stuff :lol:

is the german plugin working too now?.....i guess maybe cell9 can look into getting NTR to ignore the mac files in a future build :)

The german files are working fine. I tested Luigis Mansion, Mario Kart, Bravely Default and Majoras Mask. Thanks for that :)

But you cannot use this plugin with a mac! Even if you delete the .DS_Store, there is still a file called ".Filename" left, and this file is not visible with OSX, even if you enable show hidden files. You need windows to set this up.

Try using the terminal.

sudo rm ".Filename"

(Be careful with the rm command—you don't want to delete the wrong file!)

The language emulation plugin can solve the language issues which made some region-locked games failed to play in NTR mode, for example, Zelda Majoras Mask.
This plugin could also be used switch languages for games that have multiple language files. For example, the USA version of CRUSH 3D will display Japanese language when it was run on Japanese consoles, and it could be switched to the proper language by using the language emulation plugin.
Usage:
1 find the plugin file you want (langemu_cn for Simp.Chinese, langemu_cht for Trad.Chinese, langemu_jp for Japanese, langemu_en for USA, langemu_en_europe for Europe).
2 copy the plugin file to plugin\TITLEID on the sdcard, for example, plugin\00040000000D0000
3 start the game and it will emulate the language automatically.
I have already made folders for several games including Majoras Mask eu/us in the package.

ok i decided to test out some more, still missing a few Korean Russian etc, but here are all the languages together up to 11.
additional languages option

langemu_cht.plg - Traditional Chinese
langemu_cn.plg - Sumplified Chinese
langemu_en_us.plg - English (US region)
langemu_en_europe.plg - English (EU region)
langemu_fr_europe.plg - French (EU region
langemu_de_europe.plg - German (EU Region)
langemu_it_europe.plg - Italian (EU Region)
langemu_nl_europe.plg - Dutch (EU Region)
langemu_pt_europe.plg - Portuguese (EU Region)
langemu_sp_europe.plg - Spanish (EU Region)
langemu_jp.plg - Japanese (JPN Region)

cearp not sure if you actually wanted dutch or if you where just using it as an example, but here you go, and yeah NSMB2 actually has 8 languages, but i cant find russian....i "think" the byte im editing just defines the selected language, there is another one which i'm assuming changes character set or something, so i think maybe Russian would need a different character set too to find it

Wait so if the game doesn't have language built into them, can I use this plugin to display language I want?
For example, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate obviously do not have Japanese or Chinese built into it.
If I was to put gamesquest1's Japanese OR Chinese plugins into MH4U's titleID folder, will my MH4U retail cart show Jap or Chinese in my US/Canada N3DS XL?
