Anyone mind typing out an example mac address that you put into the pc program? I put my vita mac address in the program than add "1" next to it and the program doesnt let me click the update button.

You have to add 1 to the hex string, not add a number 1. If you took the time to look at the example in the first page, which was the only page before our reply, you can easily understand that if your hex string is XX:6A, by example, you have to write XX:6B.

Thanks a lot for the help, didn't realise that it was done that way. My ps3 controller is working now.

You have to add 1 to the number itself, not next to it. For example if your vita's MAC was 11:22:33:44:55 you would have to enter: 11:22:33:44:56.

EDIT: Nvm I've noticed that you have got it working already.

After some more reverse engineering to the Vita's Bluetooth module, I've managed to get a DS3 connected. It's in an early stage (the LEDs are not set yet, so they will continue to blink), and it could be somewhat buggy.

Download: https://github.com/xerpi/ds3vita/releases

Enable the plugin:
  1. Add ds3vita.skprx to taiHEN's config (ux0:/tai/config.txt):
    Code:
    *KERNEL
    ux0:tai/ds3vita.skprx

  2. You need to refresh the config.txt by rebooting or through VitaShell.
Pairing the controller:
  1. Download this tool (or this other one if you want to compile it yourself)
  2. Connect your DS3 to the PC and open the tool
  3. Introduce the Vita's MAC address plus 1 to the tool (Settings -> System -> System information)
Using it once paired (see above):
  1. Just press the PS button and it will connect to the Vita
Note: If you use Mai, don't put the plugin inside ux0:/plugins because Mai will load all stuff you put in there...
hi can you help me? i dont know what is plugin where to put the data that i downloaded? need help :(

Is this for psv 1000 or psv 2000? can't control it even the led keep blinking. I'm using psv 1000 and ds3vita beta 3.

EDIT :
Only work for Official PS3 controller, not work for fake controller.

EDIT :
your plugin only work for PSV 2000. Please add "FOR PSV 2000", many people are confused.
btw you're amazing xerpi, i'm waiting for the PSV 1000 to be compatible.

Thanks.
Dude this definitely works on the 1000 vita, I've been using this plugin since it's launch and I only have a 1000 vita.

@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
    I appreciate the insight!
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@TwoSpikedHands just switch, all the knowledge you learned still applies and most of the code and assets should be the same anyway
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    and realistically they wouldn't

be able to play it legally anyway since they need a ROM and they probably don't have the means to dump it themselves

why the shit does the shitbox randomly insert newlines in my messages
  • Veho @ Veho:
It does that when I edit a post.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It inserts a newline in a random spot.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
never had that i don't think
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
do y'all think having an sd card that has a write speed of 700kb/s is a bad idea?
trying to restore emunand rn but it's taking ages... (also when I finished the first time hekate decided to delete all my fucking files )
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
@Karma177 that sd card is 100% faulty so yes, its a bad idea
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the slowest non-sdhc sd cards are a few MB/s
  • Karma177 @ Karma177:
@The Real Jdbye it hasn't given me any error trying to write things on it so I don't really think it's faulty (pasted 40/50gb+ folders and no write errors)

    run h2testw on it

when SD cards/microSD write speeds drop below a meg a sec, they're usually on the verge of dying

yes looks like an faulty sd

@Psionic Roshambo i may try that with my dead sd cards
