To sort of add to this, I recently started looking into Citra and saw something that reminds me of something that specifically happens to character models in Xenoblade Chronicles X and to a lesser extent MK8 where certain spectator characters (hammer bros., certain toadstools, etc.) appear and seemingly cause a performance hit.I dunno if it's still relevant.
But there is a NSMB U Bug concerning the invisible coins on Nvidia cards.
Currently the correct behaviour relies on specific AMD code. However OpenGL provides an equal solution called framebuffer_blit
