does the audio now show or its still interrupting audio at the start of the story when you go fight?
I'm possibly thinking that the audio interrupts because the cutscene doesn't finish when the audio does and that makes the game wait for the cutscene to end to switch to next audio but it doesn't somehow ( idk ) and stops audio emulation
btw try playing a bit (like 5 mins or more ) and then exit from the story into the main menu and then go back to the story without exiting the emulator, because that's how recompilers work, instead of using already compiled code they compile the code bit by bit ( a better CPU can compile faster )
so now games which ran already from interpreter go from 20-30 to 50-60 fps like Super Mario Bros and Super Mario 3d World
and 10-20 fps increase on few games
