Hi everyone.
This is a 60fps patch for Resident Evil Code: Veronica X on GameCube, emulated via Dolphin. It works as an Action Replay code. Renders the game at 60fps WITHOUT speeding anything up. The game still runs its logic at its native 30 ticks per second; every tick is shown as two frames (an in-between frame, then the exact one).
Smooth at 60: characters, enemies, the camera, shadows, gun flashes, sparks/smoke, in-game cutscenes, subtitles/message boxes, and door transitions.
Menus, inventory, map and FMVs stay at 30.
Tested with no issues identified up to the point in the game where you first reach the Ashford mansion. Some isolated spots in Antarctica also tested. No issues found and works as intended.
Codes for both EU and USA versions of the game are included. JP version not included. They are really big codes (2388 lines long) so can't paste here.
Built with AI assistance (Claude).
A bundled code that makes the PAL version output at 60Hz instead of 50Hz was created by Ralf@gc-forever on GC Forever forums
Engine knowledge from the community decompilations of CODE: Veronica X: recvx-decomp (PS2) and recvx-gc-decomp (GameCube). Analysis with Ghidra and the GameCube Loader.
