ROM Hack [Release] Cats Editor - "The Battle Cats POP!" Save Editor

I developed a The Battle Cats POP! simple save editor. Hex editing this game is really easy, and I made this in less than an hour because I liked the game. Right now it only has the ability to edit XP, Cans and Tickets. Aimed to edit more things in following updates.

It is available as a JAR, for which you need to have the latest Java 8u91 update. And as a native EXE installer, with which you only install it natively on Windows 7+ 64-bit (without need of having Java), and you can use it right away.

It's been tested on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit and with the USA version only. Please test and comment about if it works with the EUR version.

The files you must have for using these are named GameDataXX.sav, just change the "XX" by the number of your save file, depending on the slot they are. It can be 00, 01 or 02. And you can get them using JK's Save Manager, SaveDataFiler, Save Data Manager, or any other save file exporter in your 3DS.

Features

• Edit the XP value, with a maximum of 99,999,999.
• Edit the cans value, with a maximum of 65,535.
• Edit the tickets value, with a maximum of 999.

I couldn't figure them out, not enough time today.

But I plan on adding them, and see what else can be edited. Level ups of classes and cannon upgrades should be easy to edit too.

It's strange since I made tests when having three of them, but there was no 0x3 value anywhere. Thanks a lot!

i just unlock the rare stuff... and received 3 of them.... i will searc for every 03 value and test.. but i get it in second test

Edit: I didn't test it, but it edits the bytes you showed in the screenshot.

just one thing i noticed, the max nº of rare tickets are 999 not 65535

but the game corrects for you if you put 65535

Seems that svdt and save manager cannot extract the save for battle cats. It tries to boot to the screen to boot but it hangs on a red screen.

Haven't tested with those. Are you in 11.0?

Oh, that could be a problem then... This one could be one of those games that use different encryption due to it being released after the 11.0 FIRM.

SVDT and save data manager should be updated for working with those games. Not sure if possible, anyway. Sorry.

Hi. Thanks for the editor. I already completed almost everything in the game, but I read in Reddit you can get the Ururun Wolf unit in the last stage, but there is a little chance of getting it. I am trying since 5 days ago, and I never got it. Is there any chance of giving me any Hexagonal editing line for getting it, or include it (and other cats maybe) in the editor. Thanks again.

I could look into those. But I first need to finish the game so I can check where the save is.

As for hex editing cats in, it's something I wanted to do since the start, but haven't had much time lately. Will check next week.
