Clicking "SELECT" does nothing for some seconds when returning to the XMB from Sleep Mode or Custom Launcher, when exiting a game and after restarting the PSP or VSH. The PSP's Memory Stick LED is blinking and only once it finishes I can access the VSH MENU (among other things). I was told doing a full flash install and deleting VSHMENU.PRX from ARK_01234 would fix the problem but it stayed the same. Also, if pressing "L", "R" and "SELECT" buttons to force the VSH MENU to open like I was told, it still doesn't open it until I wait some seconds.

Does this work alongside Adrenaline on Vita or can it be used as the sole PSP CFW on a Vita?

Yes depending on version you install. Standalone seems to be better for PSP DLC compatibility. Overall I recommend just using both Adrenaline for most things and this as standalone for the PSP DLC unless you really need the space for some reason.

Hey everyone, any possibility of MacroFire to freeze and turn off the PSP in latest ARK-4 update ? I'm using MacroFire 3.2.9 and as soon as it's activated in the plugins, the console freezes after a few seconds, then turns off by itself. Wanted to use it in Kingdom Hearts BBS Final Mix as it's a Japanese iso, to remap X and O.

Try with that, the guide is for Adrenaline but may work anyway.

ARK itself takes up only a few MBs so space shouldn't be an issue (the savedata folder is less than 4MB iirc and the Bubble loader is less than 1MB).

Does this work alongside Adrenaline on Vita or can it be used as the sole PSP CFW on a Vita?
It works alongside or inside Adrenaline. In other words, you can have ARK running by itself on the original pspemu (we call this Standalone installs) or you can have ARK running inside Adrenaline to combine both into a single CFW (we call this Pentazemin).
It doesn't modify Adrenaline, but you can make an autoboot bubble so it'll be pretty much permanent.

On my Vita I have all 4 bubbles: Adrenaline, Adrenaline-ARK, Standalone ARK and ARK-X, and can change from one to the other at any time.

Hi Acid_Snake. Tell me, is there no way to make a "Hidden version"? I think that many people don't like that there is something in the SAVEDATA folder. Maybe you can move it somewhere so that it doesn't attract the eye so much? For example, just to the PSP folder? Example: PSP\ARK4
Sorry for my English.

You can try yourself, first open ARK as a standalone and time how long it takes. Then open it inside Adrenaline and time how long it takes.
Oh you mean the CFW boot time, I thought you meant once the CFW was loaded it would be slow (i.e. FPS drops or whatnot).
What happened is that some releases ago I got rid of the (fake) kernel exploit that was used only by Adrenaline (which was pretty fast) and now Adrenaline uses the same (real) kernel exploit as PSP, which has some slow algorithms in it.
This was done to make PSP and Adrenaline installs be the exact same while also being a bit easier (no longer having to manually copy Adrenaline-only kernel exploit).
It can be improved, I just haven't gotten around it yet since I will need to set up a 3.65 Vita to test it.

That's what the Full Flash Install is for. Once done, you can get rid of the savedata folder and the CFW will still have all its features. On Vita you will need the savedata folder since there's no other way to install the CFW (there's no flash0 that we can use to store things, it's all in RAM).

What does encrypted and decrypted PSN content mean? Are encrypted PSP games in PKG format and decrypted PSP games in ISO and folder format (with EBOOT.PBP inside them)? In which format are PSN PSP games, PKG? How can RAP files be used (which might come with PSN PKG PSP games) on the PSP?
