with a .3dsx support? then i would love itThis is a planned feature, but it's probably still a long way out... I'd have to look into json and http shenanigans.
I definitely plan to have this hopefully soon!

directly updatedHappy to announce a new release!
Bugs squashed:
Feature added:
- Should work on JP region consoles now, that was dumb of me
- Splash install now works even if you don't have splash.bin and splashbottom.bin in /luma/
- Switching to splash mode without splashes won't softlock
- Bug with preview being slightly off is fixed
- Pressing down at the bottom or up at the top now wraps around
- Pressing left or right now moves a page rather than to the end or beginning
Release page (with QR code):
- Install BGM only! This allows you to mix and match theme bodies and BGMs. To use, simply press "X" and it'll overwrite whatever the current theme BGM is.

Nice app! But for some reason I get this error when launching the cia
Error message
An exception occurred
Processor: ARM11 (core 0)
Exception type: data abort
Fault status: Permission - Sectoin
Current process: Anemone3 (00040000000AFE00)
I have tried with Luma3DS v8.1.1(stable build) and bc1aa15(latest commit). Still doesn't work.
I also made sure there are "Themes" and "Splashes" folders on the root of my SD card, and /luma/splash.bin and /luma/splashbottom.bin.
Other theme apps like 3DSThemeManager and Themely(v1.3.1) work fine for me.
Could you two try the latest release?Got the same error. My N3DS is jpn, too.
Thank you for looking into this
Confirmed working on my JP 3DS. Thank you for fixing the issueCould you two try the latest release?
Splashes need to be in their own folders rather than zips. For example:i think i found a bug
I have the splash file(winrar) in the Splashes folder and in the app it says no splashes found
oh okSplashes need to be in their own folders rather than zips. For example:
/Splashes/Nier-2B-Splash/splash.bin
/Splashes/Nier-2B-Splash/splashbottom.bin
Also, you need custom firmware for splashes - it won't work on OFW, sorry.oh ok
im the person who try things out sorryAlso, you need custom firmware for splashes - it won't work on OFW, sorry.
you must when you are in the app press a for install theme then start on the theme that you installUmm, i tried the last update but the theme doesn't show :/ (I'm on 1.15 with only Homebrew)
splashes are for cfw usersYeah nice update ! (I figured out what was not working (it's was not the update) )
Thanks you so much @astronautlevel !
(little question : what is Splashes for ?)
You can press startthere should be a restart command for applying the changes after installing a theme
This is a good idea, I'll probably add B to go back also.pressing any button to go back. (Instead of only pressing Y)
This is written from scratchhow the hell did you manage to get this working on non-cfw? isn't this based of themely, which doesn't work for me on non-cfw?
