Can't boot into 3DS after switching anemone themes

I tried to switch themes with anemone. I installed a theme and it presented me to the shutdown screen. Instead of shutting down the system to set the theme, I pressed the home button.
I am now getting an error when I try to boot up with the sd card in the system.

Exception type: data abort
Fault status: Alignment
Current process: menu (0004003000009802)

I have tried to temporarily move the Anemone3DS, Splashes and Themes folders to my computer, however this has not done anything.
Any help with fixing this? Or is my 3DS just bricked with that sd card now?

edit: if you have an old 3ds you should know where the sd card is.
