Controllers are easy to fix, will look into it soon. Also note that this is not using JIT for the audio cpu (arm) which is supported in android. Im looking to enable that as well on the Switch, which should give a significant speed boost. Im confident with the optimizations that I excluded in this releasr it could run at x2 thd current speed easily, even at 1080p :)
I will also check GL4 support, which makes transparency sorting pixel perfect.

Nice @davidgf , thanks for your work. Can't wait to play Propeller Arena, Powerstone, Soulcalibur and Wacky Races with friends. So many good memories of
playing the Dreamcast multiplayer :)

Bill Gates' favorite game was Fusion Frenzy.
"Bizarre Creations was acquired by Activision in 2007 – a deal which saw its IP scatter across the industry. Sega holds IP rights to action-shooter The Club, while EA owns Boom Boom Rocket. Bizarre retains the Geometry Wars rights while Microsoft owns Project Gotham and all its assets.

Project Gotham Racing, the spiritual successor to Metropolis Street Racer, had bolstered the original Xbox’s launch line-up along with fellow blockbuster Halo. The series went from cult-hit status to global fame, and became a key product in Microsoft’s seminal online service, Live.

Shane Kim, the former boss of Microsoft Game Studios, said in 2008 that Project Gotham Racing would return at some stage.

In 2005 Bill Gates described Project Gotham as his favourite video game.

Develop has contacted Microsoft for comment."

I always heard this all over the internet, no idea... Maybe he changed his mind after 2005? :) However that game is way older than 2005 so maybe it was his favourite game and then when Project Gotham came out was his favourite game, who knows... Maybe he only liked it when it came for the Xbox360 PGR 3 or maybe it could be the 2nd from the Xbox original, who knows... All I know is Bill Gates have a good taste on racing games :grog:.

All I know is they don't make any good game like MSR\Project Gotham racing games (KUDOS) and Sega GT and I also miss Gran Turismo since GT SPORT is more like a Project Cars than an actual GT even though what's done is done pretty good, but, its missing the crazy awesome career that it always had, the tuning parts, the racing car conversions, car washing, the oil change, the car number list..............

I can't get out of the sewer after getting the shoe upgrade. Something seems to be up with ring pathing. It's pretty interesting to see these kinds of functional bugs instead of just graphical glitching.
It is possible to get out of there despite a ring missing. Jump on one of those machines and then dash off of it and you should eventually get up.

The Forza Horizon games are excellent! I do wish there were more arcadey track based games like PGR or even a good Need for Speed out there.

You need to access the homebrew menu and then Reicast through an installed nsp by holding R and start the game which gives you the extra ram. If you just go straight to album you'll get system crashes.

You can also use the reicast.nro forwarder (around ten pages back) and not have to do that, or make individual game forwarders (nro2nsp).

yall im torn... ive been hacking away at tales of phantasia GBA (the USA version) and have so many documents of reverse engineering i've done
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
