Hacking Region Mismatch Problem

I posted in another forum about how I couldn't read any discs or run any channels, and I think I found out why. Out of curiosity, I ran AnyRegion Changer 1.1b to see if my region settings were messed up.

I'm running on 4.2U right now.

First I get a few errors. ES_Identity (ret = -1017)
ES_OpenTitleContent (ret = -1026). When I press a button, that goes away and it comes to the warnings and such, then goes to the main settings page. It displays the following settings:

Language Setting: English
Console Area Setting: USA
Game Region Setting: Europe
Console Video Mode: NTSC
Shop Country Code: 49
Services EULA: Unread
System Menu Region: Europe

This doesn't really seem right at all. When I try changing the settings so that everything is USA, it gives me the following error:

SYSCONF_SaveChanges Value: -1017.

Can someone please give me some help? I just want to play my damn game.

you might be able to use system setting replace mod on wiibrew to install a USA setting.txt should fix your settings, a safer solution would be more than likely figure out which IOS ARC is using which could be IOS36 and use dop ios to patch ios36 giving it the right permissions i'm guessing thats why ARC is giving you errors, I'm not sure which settings you would need to use though in dop ios

And yes your right the reason your games are not playing is because of your Game region settings mismatch

Trust me, I read the Wiibrew page thoroughly before posting. I didn't see anything about this issue.

However, I was thinking that the previous poster's idea would probably work. Problem is I can't seem to locate a setting.txt for a USA console. Would I be able to extract mine, manually edit it, and then putit back in?

the USA setting.txt is in the download just remove it from the folder and place it in the folder with the boot.dol

but like in my earlier post you may want to try getting ARC working by try different versions of it or figuring out why its erroring out before resorting to using setting replacer it is a dangerous app
