Well get FF6. Play it on a SNES emulator or get the PSX version. it's a fantastic game, it's definitely one of the best games in the series.

Try Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time ... It's a short game (with normal, hard and very hard mode), but it's a very attractive game for FF fans.

FF10 is definitely worth your time, and if you're up for a "different" final fantasy, give FF12 a shot!
I'd take 10 over 12, but both are great games!

Try ff6. try. Dirge of Cerberus was... not good. I'm guessing you like FFX-2 too then [IMG]
just kidding, but you really should give some of the older titles a shot!

5 & 6 were remade for the GBA. I'd highly recommend giving them a shot. 5 was the introduction of the ability to change job classes, which was later implemented in the Tactics version. 6 has a fantastic storyline. IMO, it's much better than 7.

Although I haven't played them, I've heard really good things about V and VI on the GBA.

    Others:
Final Fantasy IX - MUST PLAY! This one is my favorite.
Final Fantasy VIII - I didn't care much for this one... the characters are really bland and the new gameplay system can be easily exploited. However, the graphics are REALLY good for a PSX title... and the GF summonings look awesome.
Final Fantasy X- My second favorite FF game. If you have a PS2, you have to play it.
Final Fantasy X-2 - I liked the whole job system, but the story is a little meh. It's still pretty good though.

Never played FFXII, so I can't recommend that. Also, do not try Crystal Chronicles on the GC, it was pretty bad IMO.

Quiet you [IMG] It's all down to personal preference really. To be honest I don't like FFX much, lots of little things bug me about it. You'll get a different answer from everyone you ask, your best bet's to just pick one and go with it. [IMG]

exactly, FF8 happens to be one of my favourite final fantasy games.

as for other suggestions, I just remembered, the OP may want to try the kingdom hearts series, it is made by the same people and is quite similar in a lot of ways.

My favourites were FF VI on the SNES on FF IX (the one with Vivi) on the PSX.

    Go with FFV and FFVI.

I liked FFV a LOT. The story is enjoyable, has some of the most awesome BGM evar and the entire Job system makes the battles always new and refreshing [IMG]

I'm now playing FFVI again on my GBA [IMG] Great game.

Play the GBA remakes, if you can [IMG]

My heads spinning.Im currently trying some of your recommendations, and eventually I will get to all.

As to the guy who Recommended Kingdom of Hearts, if only there was a KH title that I haven't played.

Can't wait for the DS one, and Birth by Sleep for the PSP.
