Ready At Dawn has announced that they are hiring for a new game planned for release on a single "next generation home console", the game is a AAA brand new IP action-adventure third-person shooter. So that kind of gives you an idea of what to expect.

The job listing comes courtesy of VG Arabia who picked up on the find and noted that the official website for Ready at Dawn is looking to hire. It's also made quite clear that they are hiring for "next-generation home console" and it's rather obvious that the PS3 and Xbox 360 (and definitely the Wii) are no longer considered "next generation".

Given that Ready at Dawn has worked primarily and mostly exclusively on Sony handheld games such as God of War: Ghost of Sparta, as well as a Wii port of Okami. I'm guessing that the game will either be for Sony's next generation home console (which is very likely) or it could be for a Wii U exclusive which isn't entirely out of the question given that Nintendo's home console is actually slated to launch this fall during the holiday season.

The only prohibitory measure working against the game being for the PS4 is that Sony hasn't made any effort or hints to give gamers or the industry at large any indication that a next-generation PlayStation home console will even arrive anytime soon. During the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this year Sony confirmed that they would not be announcing a new home console this year nor at the biggest video game tradeshow, E3.

So basically that leaves us wondering if Ready At Dawn's new title will be for the Wii U or maybe a PS4 title many, many, many years down the road?

From what I understand, they have a pretty solid track record (Issues with Wii controls for Okami notwithstanding), so it'll be interesting to see what they end up producing.

Anyway, it'll be interesting to see how they do with their own IP. Maybe we'll hear more about it (even if it's just a hint or two) at E3.
