I'm using WinVista too and it worked just fine for me.

You should get a new file that's smaller than the original file.

But I think now that RO DS will be published in the USA the translation won't go far anyway, although I loved this project. ^^

Nobody can possibly know if the official localization will use the same save format as the Japanese version.

well done guys, even though you did not finish you translated the important ones like the items and the menu. You guys gave me some kind of introduction to the game and we just have to wait for the US version :]. Thanks everyone who worked on the translation project.

As long as most of the dialog and most of the no brainer items are understandable (RED POTION and what not) then there is no problem.

But if you are farther then me in the game(where you head to the F1 city sewers) could you tell me if any of the other dialog is Japanese?

Or is this fully all English, I want to understand the story-line xD

No, the game is not fully in English. Only the first few chapters of the game were translated.

You can always try to use your old savegame.
It works with all games I have tried it with yet. Even works with savegames from the original RO DS game to use them with the patched one.
The only thing is that you MUST rename the save to fit the rom's name. So if the rom's name would be "Ragnarok_Online_DS.nds" the savegame's name has to be "Ragnarok_Online_DS.sav" then it should work fine.

I often had to use my EU saves in US games just because I can't play some games in German... It totally kills the game's atmosphere sometimes. (Like playing FFCC EoT in English and then trying to play RoF in German... blagh!)

Well so far... Can't wait for the localized version, although I have to thank you for all your efford again. It's good to have people around that actuall care and try to change something, but it's also good to see that some gaming companies fullfill their cusomer's needs

errrm why do I keep freezing after going out of sewage(after I finished the get dog tags thing) I use acekard2i with the akaio and the sav Im using is from original save( so I can cheat lmao) so Im lvl 99 and lvl 1 thief

Why can't i save. Nothing happen after i save. The data is still empty. When i tried to use savestates it also got problem it crashed. Why can't i save!!!

we connected through wifi and it shows communiction error ... but wirelessly it connected
