Hacking R4DS with Wood R4 1.08 - cheats for some games not working

I have a R4DS with Wood RD v1.08 and latest USRCHEAT.DAT

Some games crash when I enable the cheats. For example, Zelda Phantom Hourglass crashes (black screen) as soon as I enable a cheat code. Other games, like Mario Kart DS, work perfectly with cheats enabled. Does someone know the reason of these crashes? Thanks in advance.

edit: im using the non-patched roms as required by Wood R4 - is it possible that these cheats are created for cracked roms?

zelda ph (usa). cheats enabled. ds lite backlight control cheat added. all works fine. game starts, backlight switched.

and the directional pad hacks? all 4 cheats seems to crash the game on launch...

switch softreset off before 1.09

ps: if you want that other games will be fixed, you must describe problem in detail for each game.
