Hi everybody! Here's my problem: yesterday I was playing with my nds lite , I've got an r4 III upgrade revolution. I tried castlevania and then turned it off. When I turned it on it simply stuck on the loading screen. The microsd works since I was able to read it through my smartphone. Is the R4 broken?

Exact same thing happened to me, tried everything people said like reformate the SD card and getting the right firmware still nothing =\ I think might be R4 cart itself is broken since SD card seem to work some connection issue between the SD and R4 card. coz if you put the R4 in w/o SD card at all you get the same response.
