Some R4 had a kernel that has an Expiration Date inside their system, therefore, you will always need to be on a certain date range in order to make it work. theres no solution to this, since its cartridge based, not system based.

i have The R4 sdhc 3DS DSI 2016 dualcore edition, and i have the same error, cant open ds_menu.dat
I have tried every single kernel available on website and i hope someone could post the right one because i am tired to test all of these.
And no its not because i have forget to unrar or unzip the file, and not because of the SD, i have tried at least 5 of them from different
manufacturer and sizes.
So please if you have this firmware post it.

Hi guys, need help figuring out the firmware needed for my cart to work, its a r4 gold pro from 2013 i think, i bought it used but couldn't figure out how to make it work.

My New 3DS XL is on 11.0.0, and when i insert the card and open it it goes black screen and asks to restar.

I have an R4 gold pro revolution and more random stuff (seriosly, I don't know what clone of clone is this r4). I' ve tried to unbrick it using the swap method but always stuck on erasing device.
The label reads as www.r4i-gold.me. I' ve used the firmware in that page, the firmware from r4i-gold.com (using wayback machine) and from r4sdhc and always the same (Later, I discovered that the firmwares I was downloading were EXACTLY the same using HxD xD)
