ROM Hack Question on GBA Auto Trainer Maker

After Softmodding my Wii (enabling HBC, Custom IOS and loading VBA GX etc) to find VBA GX 1: no Cheat support and 2: the save it makes dont correctly import to VBA-M (what its based on) nor VBA itself. i checked the trainer ips archive to find that Pokemon FireRed/Leaf Green and Mystery Dungeon wernt in it and that the IPS archive is only of all known made patches.

so heres my question.

Can i safely use GBAATM to patch the roms? and do i need to do a Header fix? (VBA GX is simply patched to access Wii functions in Gamecube mode far as i atleast think)

ok i put in codes to Fire Red and i got a white Screen (GSv3)
