Hacking Question in Regards to Backing up Retail Games.

Okay so my Gateway 3DS should be coming in the mail this Friday. The question I have is if I create a backup dump of my friends retail cartridge of SSB:3DS, would I be able to play online? Would he still be able to play online? Could we both be online at the same time? I read somewhere that games all have a Unique Identifier, of which I think the backup dump would copy from the retail. So I'm not too sure if he could get his card banned from online play if I simply just create the backup off his cartridge.


Someone clarify please.

    I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
