A question about download play.

Just a question about download play, but if a hacked 3ds hosts a download play to a stock 3ds, what happens?? Will it proceed as usual? Me and my friend are going to meet and play a game on our 3dss. He doesn't have Mario maker though, so I would need to host it to him from download play. I have an hshop copy of Mario maker for 3ds (So it doesn't have a Nintendo licence to it. (It's basically a CIA file, not a 3dsx file.) Would his system be bricked or detect piracy from that version?? Or would my system be banned/bricked? Or would it just proceed as usual? Thanks, I need this answer.

I see no reason why anything would change. Download play basically just sends a copy of some of the game data from 1 system to another.

Are you talking about Super Mario Maker ? I have the setup you're wanting to test. A 3DS that is hacked and one that is not, and I'm happy to test it out, but I couldn't find the Download Play option in Super Mario Maker.

Am I looking at the wrong game?
