Friend of mine has 3.71 firmware and wants it to be CFW. He tried googling it for awhile but it got confusing for him and me
So I'm just wondering is there a simple way to do it. I remember about buying like Lumines or something like that to downgrade and upgrade to CFW

As far as I know you need a Pandora to do it. It's not that expensive (10 bucks at Dealextreme), plus you'll need a memory stick (which he will want anyway to put games on). It really is super easy, please read the stickies

The Lumines trick only works with firmwares up to 3.50, any later and it doesn't work. PSP Slims don't even support 3.50 natively, so this only applies to phats.
