Thank you for taking the time to compile this, much appreciated. I tested with Robocop 2 and runs and looks very nice and smooth.

I wonder though about the "true" mame 2003 core that people ( @OriginalHamster and @soniccomcisbr ) use (i still do not know which one is that, from the ones in page 1 of this topic, guys please pinpoint the post that has the correct mame 2003 core).

That one seems to run a multitude of games and would complement the iMame4all 1.0.2 that you have provided, quite nicely.

I ask cause i plan to fully playtest that once it is available, just like i did with the 1.0.2 mame 2000 core and give a numbered list of working roms (non fba, non cps1, non cps2, non neogeo) so that people would have an easy reference (post #73 in the previous page)

I can simularly help with this, once i have the core.

There's no true or full mame2003 yet. You can grab the build from templar701, page1 (it's a retroarch 1.0.0.2). All the builds support about the same games (read the tiny.mak to see the drivers).
A full build is too large(am I repeating myself?). We'd need a full mame games list without fba, cps, capcom, neogeo. Maybe include some slow/not working fba titles.
Your T-Z list is a good start... Adding/sorting the drivers in the source code will be extremely long though...
Mame2000 run a lot of games, but since it's an earlier mame, there are more bugs too. Gfx issues in Parodius for ex, and surely many others.

Regarding the retroarch versions, wow so many different requests, it's funny. I'll stay with a modded 1.2.2 for now, with simpler menus (1.0... was such a mess!), no osd message, custom cfg etc...
The only thing really bad for me is how inputs are handled. From 1.0.0.2 at least, untill 1.3(and latest commits?), switching between GC controller and wiimote/classic is problematic... the controls don't respond anymore. It would be good to always let the wiimote active in the main menu.

Guys maybe you can help me, I'm looking a way to organize my roms, since you can't change the rom name in mame, so I create a folder for each rom to know what game it is, for example: Flying Shark/fshark.zip

Now it's long tedious process, someone knows an automated way to create folders with the correct display name for each rom? If not, is there any list I could use to know every rom display name?

EDIT: BTW, I'm building my collection using @nakata6790 list

The simplest way to sort the roms is to use the mame core as a Wiiflow plugin. Then you use the custom_titles.ini file to display real names. It's explained in the Wiflow thread.

Unfortunately, the MAME 0.78 core from post #19 is for 1.2.2 RA frontent. I tried to run it and not only it didn't detect my wiimote, it also messed my 1.0.2 setup. Thankfully, i had a a backup.
Anyways, from the .mak file included, these should be the compatible roms for that core:

If that core can be made to work with 1.0.2 frontend (and maybe some other drivers added like XSleena, core is ~6MB, it can grow till ~10MB right?) i can provide further feedback, especially on performance. As it is (1.2.2), i cannot run it.

Oh and custom 1.0.2 is best, no control issues whatsoever, no annoying osd popups, custom rations & folders, etc ;)

This core post #19 is compiled with 1.0.0.2. You can even check with an hex editor.
You must delete your cfg files when you test different versions. Try to launch the core directly too, with wiixplorer for ex.

Yes, there's room for other drivers. I'm testing irem games, rtype series is working(they crash in fba). Bad sound fx in rtype leo. Oh well...

Then you're doing something wrong : not launching the good dol, not deleting the .cfg etc...

Sorry, that's not true. I tried it in my secondary SD as well with all the .cfg files in the /retroarch folder deleted. Mame 2003 core still displays 1.2.2 at the bottom (see above pic) while everything else works flawlessly (and is 1.0.2.).

Ok, you're right. Too many versions, it's boring. I've posted a 1.0.0.2 build in page 2. But apparently, that wasn't working (well it's working for me). I'll pass on this, not enough patience.

Thanks man for doing this. This uses 0.78 mame roms, correct?
Is there any trick to getting these working? I was able to get each of them working once but ever since I've been getting code dumps (some with green lines which I've never seen before). When they did run they worked great!

I tested that MAME2003 build you made, but as soon as it loaded a game, it exited to the HBC.
Your iMame4all worked perfect, on the other hand. :)

Anyway, a recap of this thread for anyone interested in MAME RA Wii cores & what games they play:
@templar701 's MAME 0.7.8. build for RA 1.2.2 from post #19 in the first page works with the MAME 0.78 roms listed in post #104 in this page.

@Wiimpathy 's MAME 2000 (iMame4All) build for RA 1.2.2 (post # 30) and @zerofalcon 's port for RA 1.0.2 (post #52) work with the MAME2000/MAME 37b roms listed in post #73

As nakata6790 said, make sure you have the correct romset for mame2000, search for the mame 0.37 beta 5 or mame 0.37 beta 11 romset, all those roms are compatible with that core.
I'm talking the Mame 2003 core, not Mame 2000. The one you compiled for 1.0.0.2. with the 4 games I mentioned. I should have been more specific.

I tested it and it's working fine with the 4 compatible roms, maybe you need the correct roms for mame 0.78. I know I can't share with you where to download, but a hint could be the word "nation" by searching through google.

Yeah, I got the 0.78 roms. I'll keep messing around with it and see if I can figure it out.
