So, not long ago, I noticed that some of my save files got corrupted.
Today, two of my recently made save files also got corrupted and made me wonder "what should I do now?".
The thing is, the files are made from UMDs, so I never had a problem with changing the CFW or anything, but now I fear to start the new games again, before I solve this problem.
Would it help if I uploaded the save files so others could check if they're corrupted overall, or just on my PSP?

what FW did you MAKE the save on
Let's see.
I think I made 3 Rockman DASH save files on 5.50-B (I don't remember). They worked after updating the CFW and only one of them got corrupted. The other two works.
Two save files were made just yesterday on 6.60 PRO-B10. Today I wanted to continue the game and it said that both games save files got corrupted.
Actually, the Rockman DASH save file works now.
The two new save files are still corrupted. I have 17 save files on the memory stick with two being the corrupted ones and the PSP shows 4 corrupted files, making it a total of 19. I can't delete the plus files, only the ones I know what are.

What sort of memory stick is it? Does it read as Magic Gate supported when you hit the triangle button on the Memory Card in the XMB?

It says "MagicGate(TM) Unknown". It's probably not a real memory stick, just a fake one. I noticed this before, but I never had this kind of problem. Does this mean that the Memory Stick is going to die? Should I update now or just make regular backups for the time being?

This sort of issue (that of corrupt saves) is common with fake memory sticks, and sometimes Memory Card adapters too (such as the Photofast adapter). If the problem has kept on occurring then i doubt it'll go away - i'd suggest you invest money in a GENUINE Sandisk Pro Duo so that you don't have to worry about random corruption.

Yeah, I thought about doing that. Strange, since the PSP I bought came with it. It's a simple 2GB one. But yeah, I have a source that sells real memory sticks. 8GB should be nice.
Formated the MemoryStick, now the save files work again. Strange stuff, but I'm glad it's working again.

I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar

@Xdqwerty you can use a "spawner" function on any object.
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Or when your player dies, you can say in code, if enemy exists, do nothing, but if enemy does not exist, then create enemy at certain spot. (This would be a pain tho for lots of emeies)
