I've read that in order to play ps4 games on the ps5 you have to update from 1.00 (possibly periodically update as it's possible not all games will work immediately). this was on a sony website via a rumor link on temp. I do remember it well. I think it was on the ps5 portion of one sony's European branches. that is a good way to force people to update.

also, blackhat, the hackers' conference, I read the day 0 exploit, and it mentions 6.xx firmware, so it may have been patched before 7.02. it's kinda vague. it's a webkit exploit specifically, not a kernel one.

could it work on 7.51? i know this is a stupid question but can it work?

I wouldnt worry. A few of the main hackers, like math, have quoted as saying that the ps4's security is bad.

if it were me, I'd probably export my saves, then sell the system. saves in that state can be moved over to the same or other account. anyway, buy a lower firmware system. I'm sure newer firmware exploits will be released especially with the ps5 coming out next month, but when is anyone's guess. we still can't play final fantasy vii remake or the last of us 2. it's only a matter of time for the former though as the kernel exploit works for up to 7.02. I have final fantasy vii remake on my computer at this very moment. someone proxied the official download location, which is separated into 21 parts of 4GBs apiece. I used the copy /b command in windows to merge them together, so I got this:

ps4 uses passphrases while the vita uses zrif. their purpose is essentially the same. you need them to decrypt the content.

after much faffing finally installed 19gb pkg on my 6.72, fuck yes!

some of you will know my past issues over the last few days.

what is this? did you finally backport FF7R?

I know this is about an exploit for 7.51 but with the kernel exploit released for 7.02 what is the likelyhood of a webkit exploit coming next?

I'm also glad that 6.72 is starting to show its advantages over 5.05 when it comes to linux emulation, does having a PS4 pro has its advantages as well considering it has upgraded hardware?

Also sucks to hear about that update trap with the PS5 in order to play PS4 games, still gonna preorder it and keep it in the box. I wish the upcoming PS5 scene well and hope it fares much better than our current gen

no, I have the links to the actual game the system links to. the links are on the dark site. each link is 4GBs, except the last one. you can merge them together with the copy /b command. it other words, it's an official package. without the passcode, I can't make a fake package of it.
