PS4 controller on PS3

    Can a ps4 pad ad used on ps3 firmware 3.55?

    A ps4 controller can be used on any ps3. Problem is that it only connects like a regular bluetooth controller, and unfortunately the PS button doesn't work. (obvs neither does the touchpad)

    So yes you can use one, but you will need some version of a ps3 controller to use the PS button. (which really sucks)

    It should also be mentioned that while it works fine for some games it has problems with some titles (right analog stick doesn't work in Deadly Premonition: Directors Cut IIRC) and for a few games it won't work at all.

    So if you can live with that and and

    -No rumble
    -No Sixaxis support
    -no PS button
    -the headset port being non functional

    then yes you can use it in your games when supported.
