Was wondering, as I'm building an IDE to EXI adapter for my gamecube, which requires an old PS2 modchip (based on a xilinx chip) for some reason.
The only modchip I can seem to find for the PS2 is the Modbo 5.0. Does anybody know if it uses a xilinx chip?

Googled around to no avail, figured this would be the best place to check.

Thanks in advance!

I would say no. quick googling shows that the XC95144XL was generally used in cheaper / non-branded modchips and comparing the XC95144XL to the chip on the Modbo 5.0 it looks different

you may be looking at this the wrong way ... its 3:43am for me so thinking isn't the clearest (not to mention the pain killers ) but there may be another way than tracking down a long forgotten modchip

Oh yeah, I could just order a custom pcb with the CPLD etc., I just wanted to avoid that because I'm lazy haha. I'll probably just end up doing that.
