A lot of people have been having issues with jgeckou

Try using http://loadiine.ovh/

Starting TCPGecko from the dropdown, making sure to launch the browser the second time

And use the debug version of TCPGecko available on loadiin.ovh to connect, instead of jgecko.

Gecko dotNET in the Debug download should work for you, though.

Thank you very much for the quick response. I'm currently at work right now but I will try this once I get home and update.

Howdy, all!

I'm pretty new to this (i.e this is my first time ever playing with RAM)

But I managed to get my head around it enough to find some codes for the latest version of Smash Bros.

a HUGE thank you to CosmoCortney! Thanks for the YouTube tutorials! Wouldn't have any clue what I was doing without! :D

I'm PAL (AU), not sure if that matters, but here's what new stuff I've found!

I was also having a look at health, and regen modifiers, but I'm a bit stuck, as poking them doesn't change them in, and there appears to be about 4 memory addresses that keep track of health. If anyone has any insight, please let me know! <3

It's cool that you take interest in this and have found these addresses but I just wanted to mention that they already got discovered a "long" time ago and are listed many pages ago for the latest version :P Even though, keep it going, glad to see someone is doing these things :) You may want to look at these to discover some new stuff!

If its not too lazy, couldn't someone make a save editor for most of these games. We can already backup our gamesaves, would save hassle than manually finding the addresses for simple stuff.

Also I'm looking to max out my adventure items in Hyrule Warriors (make them all 5 each), I'll find the addresses for them but I dont know where to look.

Unlocking all the costumes in Super Mario Maker would be great too but again dont know where to look.

Found the weapon values, and what appears to be the start of where they're stored. This requires more research, but I'm not too interested. I'll post what I've found for anyone who wants to take a deeper look into this. Wouldn't recommend hacking in weapons on a file that you wouldn't normally be able to obtain at your level. To play it safe, I believe that everything except the Octoshot (available at level 40) is available at level 20 (not counting single player scroll weapons/amiibo weapons), so use that as a guide.

Well, that escalated quickly

More like fizzled out quickly.

The WiiU was a failed console, it only had like 3 games of any worth, and the Smash Bros char codes are the only values of interest (as you've cataloged Wind Waker pretty thoroughly) and that already appears to be under control.

There isn't really anything left to do. Messing with the RAM of the WiiU's endless shovelware doesn't really appeal to me, that's all. Haha.

I'm dumping ram memory from Lost Reavers, I'm using 10000000-40000000 (10) range, when it finish and I try to refine the search TCPGecko crash, (exception), even when I select "continue" it says an error has ocurred and need to reconect having to restart my 15mins search. It's because my limited PC ram, specific problem with the game?
It's extremely frustrating can't refine my searches, I spent all the night yesterday to get nothing :/
I wish we could expand to another games outside Nintendo ones, there's alot info on Splatoon, Sm4sh.

In the case of Lost Reavers I don't even know if the variables are stored server side, everything I've done so far has been like blind hits.

That's my small rant, sorry.

After running those two, go back into the Internet browser and load your launcher like you normally would. Make sure you disable the PyGecko option in Loadiine.

So I ran the two URLs and launched the HBL via wiiubru.com. Then I launched Loadiine GX2 v3 and disabled the Pygecko option. Launched the game ( Hyrule Warrirors).

Got to the character selection screen , Launched JGecko , Entered my wiiU IP address and hit connect. Now it wont connect and it times out. Can some one tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Sorry if this is becoming a nuisance to anyone

I'm just speaking out loud here but we really should have some way to organize all these codes and addresses everyone here is finding. I understand the TC has it also on the front but it can be slow to update and searching function for this topic is awful.

P.S. Is there a website like wiisave.com where users can upload their gamesave files?

  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
yall im torn... ive been hacking away at tales of phantasia GBA (the USA version) and have so many documents of reverse engineering i've done
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
