Looks good. It probably appended some random data between game data and save data, and the game never reads them.

The save is too big to upload here. So here is a link. http://hax.by/animalcrossing.sav.zip.

Exact byte size should be 10,485,916 bytes
MD5 = f357df88546685bfeed66876836cff9d (after extraction)

Just checked the data inside the save file, after 7.27MB there are only 0xFF(empty) bytes, so 8MB should work. I wonder how powersaves come up with 10MB, still don't know if the save data size is store somewhere inside the rom.

After cutting off the powersaves header its 10 MiB right on the dot. Anybody who is testing this needs to remove the first 0x9C of the save.

btw, jaku, what region is your AC cart? USA i presume.

It would probably be safer to use 10 MBs instead of 8. There is really no disadvantage in doing so. I mean that file (after 0x9C) is exactly what gets written back to the game when the save is restored by the powersaves reader.

Datel probably knows things that we don't about nand saves and the size they allocated is no accident.

I'm thinking I could just extract required size (with no empty bytes) from the rom, and when restoring the save, append extra empty bytes to fill a specific size (ie. 16MB).

the Pokemon where most made using the powersaves codes...so they should be "somewhat" legit, except for the unobtainable Pokemon....safe to say they aren't really legit :lol:

Anyone interested in building up a community pokemon save? I can add a few legitimate shinys to the mix. (Trade from my retail, backup ROM, trade back). They'd have my trainer ID though...so yeah there is that.

well the save in the first thread is having content bundled into it, so if you share the save some of the content may make it in to the final save XD

its right at the start of the game so people will be able to use it as their main save if they wish, with the good old trainer name ash :P

Good idea, I'm thinking in provide many battle maison objects, megastones, other evo stones a bit harder to obtain and some shinys from my retail game.

I can wait for you to add your pokes and then I add my stuff to your updated save.

Yeah, as I said before I have no problem updating the saves. So if people have more Pokemon they want to add and can provide a save with the ones they want I can move them over to the main save.

Here is a further update of jaku's Pokemon X file. It contains the Japanese Garchomp, Japanese Scizor (now holding a cutsup berry), and the new EU Magmar and Electrabuzz events. For the EU events, they each held their own evolutionary items so I reversed them to keep them from evolving. You will find the magmarizer on Electrabuzz and vice versa with the Magmar.

I did have to sacrifice 4 master balls to catch trade fodder pokemon, so I would personally wait for jaku to merge them into the official file. If that isn't important to you though, feel free to download away.
