Yea, different friend codes unlock different type of safaris. My type is ghost, so you find ghost pokemon in my safari. Check this thread for friend codes: http://gbatemp.net/threads/pokemon-x-y-wifi-centre.355819/

so....many....useless....pokemon in wonder trade....
the best I got was a corsola and an eevee.

It's ok. So far my better gettings were Braixen, Steelix, Snorlax, Skrelp (I'm playing X) and Haunter (at least from what I'm remembering right now). Sure, most of the Pokemon I got were Caterpies and other bugs, but it's a great way to collect different PIDs for the lottery.

There are no negative consequences to having pokerus. It gives you more stat points while leveling, so it's useful to have.

Legendary Birds ARE catchable!

Yeah, I kept finding one when running through the grass in random areas after I beat the game. You can't stop him in wild encounter no matter what. It will bring your Pokemon and that legendary bird you encounter into a staring contest that the bird will lose after about 8 seconds and he flees. No controls will even pop up, so you couldn't even Master Ball him if you wanted to. And yes, I used Dugtrio for it's arena trap, he sill flees.

Has anybody else noticed that you can't run in long grass normally, but you can if you have the dowsing rod out? Useful if you're bored of walking slowly through grass, hopefully they won't update it to no longer do that.

Yes you can, you need to use the D-pad to run, because rollerblading through tall grass is kinda difficult.
