Just a note, they've never named the new type and if you check the rumors, fairy type doesn't even confirm with what they've shown on Poké-smash. But hey, I bet most people here cannot wait to know it's name
My memory of gen 4 Pokemon is a bit fuzzy but I believe I could name the vast majority of those Pokemon. Gen V is where I really struggle. It seems to me that the names are way harder to remember
Lol well for me it is. Maybe because I grew up with generations 1, 2 & 3 it's a little easier
They just didn't interest me as much as the previous gens.

Pretty much the same for me.
I prefer gen 2-5 the 1st one has very.....undesigniful(is that a word?) pokemon and overused ones like f****** pikachu and mew.
but some of them are frickin´good like ninetales and Nidoqueen/Nidoking.
There's no delay for Pokemon games. Fans wouldn't be able to handle it.
All other ideas that don't go to plan due to time issues go into the third versions or sequels.
We never had 2 generations on a single handheld as we had with DS.
We also never had a sequel as we had with gen 5.
We also never had an international release as we'll have with X and Y.
Said that, I don't think we can define a pattern to the next pokémon releases.
I wouldn't be so certain about X and Y release, specially considering they're for 3DS,
which has it's pack of delayed games.
The game does look finished for the most part, but I wouldn't count a delay out.
Don't forget Miyamoto's quote though. A delayed game is eventually good but a bad game is bad forever.
