Gaming Pokemon SS freezing on DSTT

I just got my Pokemon SS rom, and began playing with GBAtemp's usrcheat.dat.
At certain points the game has been freezing on me, but always randomnly.
I can't tell if this is caused by the usrcheat.dat or because the rom I downloaded was faulty or
if it was my DSTT.
Is the Temp usrcheat.dat completely operational?
What caused the freezing?
