I don't suggest people start with the switch as their first "solder" job.. but, if they got the money for replacements, or time for spare parts.. than go for it..

but if u cant get tin on the pads u might let someone else install it for u

To many people seem to skip the flux and think those "flux fused" solders will be enough...

honestly i made the same mistake at the beginning of my soldering expierence.
thats why i also say to people who dont have that much expierence flux is ur best friend .-)

It is best to practice on PCB to solder before moving on to smaller board like the switch motherboard.

I mean I didn't just order an oled after killing my lite in the name of science 🙃

i remember my first destruction it was the og Ps1 With a modchip and i almost got my ass wooped after i told my mom i need a new ps1 because i destroyed it putting in a modchip hahahahahahaha

already unscrewd my switch a couple times but get discouraged as soon as i remove the heatshield
no hot air, bad lighting dont help either

I also added a 47 ohm resistor, but EMMC is also a slow mode
I am in the same situation as you. Is it because of the Chinese system
