Just installed the photo channel on the vWii via WiiModLite and using the RiiConnect24 patcher to get it. When I click both the Digital Camera/Cell Phone and the Message Board Photos options, they both say "This card is not usable." Using a FAT32 Formatted 32GB SD Card.

Hello.:)

I can confirm this.

Had this also on my vWii.Tried different SD Cards - 2 (FAT) / 4 / 16 / 32 GB with FAT32

Maybe @Larsenv knows something about this ?

Thank you.:)

You need to install Photo Channel 1.1, as the base version only supports SD Cards of 2GB or less.

This is correct. To install Photo Channel 1.1, a stub for version 1.0 must be installed, along with Photo Channel 1.1

The Windows version of RiiConnect24 Patcher can do that for you. If you can't use it, then Google where to get WADs for "
Photo Channel v1.1 (World) (v3) (Channel)" and "Photo Channel v1.0 (World) (v65280) (Channel)"

YAWMM was not able to install it -> Error -999 "WAD needs IOS61 but it is a Stub"
WiiMod Lite did it.👌

I installed it through RiiConnect24, the windows bat file. Although the Photo Channel is 1.0.

As it says, you need to install IOS61. DOP-Mii or MMM can do that for you. I've never used Wii Mod Lite but maybe it installs the required IOS automatically. Did you check that the channel actually works? It would just crash if the IOS is missing.

Ok, so both files from the RiiConnect24 Patcher were installed. 1.0 and the 1.1 update wad. I checked in AnyTitle Deleter and there was HAYA (1.0) and HAAA (1.1 Update). My guess was HAAA was the dummy channel as I uninstalled HAYA, the Photo Channel Disappeared. Tried installing a straight 1.1 wad (HAYA) after that and it didn't work. so I uninstalled that and put HAYA (1.0 Base File) back.

Finally works:

- used CustomizeMii to change the ID and the IOS to 58

But isn't it gonna corrupt system files?

has anyone any idea where the "stub" is? I can't find it anywhere and it's not on NUS.

for anyone who has uninstalled the photo channel in the past, like me, then you can install 1.1, but you have to launch it from wii flow etc. 1.1 won't appear in the system menu, but installing 1.0 will show it, but it launches 1.0 and you have to use a smaller SD card

I 've the same problem but with an original Wii. After installing 1.1 it is still in 1.0 when starting the channel.

Anyone know what to do about it? Should I change the IOS that uses the channel with CustomizeMii or use some other program so that it will be installed once and for all?

If you don't mind, could you please tell me how you solved CustomizeMii's "banner_Rso0.brlan is not a valid brlan filename!"
Also, the same problem occurs with banner_Rso1.brlan and icon_Rso0,1.brlan.
