I don't think I was specific enough in my post, I meant when trying Ad-Hoc multiplayer mode. I can get into the lobby, and go to rooms, but if I want to do missions, it just hangs when loading the first block. (Unless that's what you were talking about lol)

A friend and I tried to netplay PSP2 a couple of times using Hamachi and Evolve, but we got almost the same result with both; being what you've experienced. In addition, we were able to do battles.

Open missions were a no-go. I haven't tested anything else.

Sorry i can't help more, did you check that you and friends got different MAC adress in ppsspp.ini? and maybe psp2 is not Fully compatible, need wait some better version of ppsspp.

I could start solo multi-mode on PPSSPP 1442 revision. Dunno when but now there's a Networking setting and they added an AdHoc server.

However I also couldn't start any mission, it'll never load.

You guys are not alone in the infinite load screen issue when starting a mission in multimode (and hosting at the same time). I have experienced that issue along with several others over at the PPSSPP forums.

Of 6 computers in my home (x3 on Windows 8, x3 on Windows 7), all except x2 Windows 7 machines could get past the infinite load screen. For this reason, I'm lead to believe there's some issue with, missing software, firewall issue, or something wrong with PPSSP on Windows 7.

I would suggest temporarily disabling your firewalls to test if that's causing the issue and/or trying to host the party on Windows 8 (if you're not already running Windows 8).

The thread dedicated to the Netplay issues on PPSSPP with Phantasy STar POrtable 2 / infinity: http://forums.ppsspp.org/showthread.php?tid=13288
To prevent this thread from becoming PPSSPP tech support, may be a good idea to direct the issue there.

Can reset to lv1 and level again
Long sword is way faster
Voiced cutscenes (since it's the jp one)

So does that mean half of the storyline is still the original PSP2 Storyline?
If yes does that mean you just are going to use the same English script for the Psp2 stuff and just translate the additional content?

Also can you use your original PSP2 game save or do you need to re start again?

There's even more changes, like force stuff. It's a superior version in every way.

AFAIK they have almost everything translated, since what isn't on PSP2 is on DeviFoxx guide. They should only have to proof, insert and make it work, which is totally not the hardest part.

There still bits to translate since it's not all in the guide. Also getting the stuff from the guide to the correct place is a problem (same for episode 1 stuff), I also think some fresh translations are being used.
Oh and proofing and inserting can take just as long if not longer than translating

Also yes story is partly the same and you can import a save if its a japanese one

.but you can't import a PSP2 English save right?

So overall how much of the overall story are you adding to English.like how much of it is the original out 100%

The original story (EP 1) had 10 chapters, EP 2 (Infinity content) has 5 or 6 chapters but I think each chapter is a bit longer or has more content, since chapter 1 in EP1 was mostly a tutorial and such.
But Infinity simply has more of everything so you can spend a lot more time playing the game without it feeling you've already maxed out your character.

This is so awesome. Hope you guys keep up all the great work. I never played infinity due to the translation thing so i'm really looking forward to seeing the final product if/when it is released.

You probably end up having to apply a xdelta patch to a clean .iso
(Which would of course be a backup of your own umd...)
