If there's not already an OS on your drive, you'll need to boot with some sort of boot media (a Windows/Linux disc or USB stick) to install to the HDD.
Any reason the HDD is slotted like that? I doubt it's hurting the drive itself but it's hurting my eyes.

Nope just trying to figure out how to put it in there properly and thanks I didn't know it would display thay if I didn't have an os installed. I have a usb stick so unfortunately I will have to use that method since I dont have a dvd drive
