I keep trying to find an answer on how to export these out looking 100% like they should but all we have manage to extract is the text with a lot of junk, can anyone help?

I attached the untouched *.arc files from both DS ROM versions to this post(ENG&JAP rar files),

ok, so far this is the best version of the 2009 NDS ROM 'tmx_event' scripts I have received from you people, do you guys think we can fix these to become readable?

Interesting.... I cant unpack them and cant view unpacked by you...
When i try extract arc file it eat all my free space on C:\ !!!5GB!!!, are you kidding?

well i keep trying to use a variation of actions with the lptexttool, txrcdump and arcdump tools but my results always come out as gibberish. I'm quite lost.

arc folder
- Most of the .bin files are packed and compressed in arc format. (You need Txrc/Arc/Bin Dumper to extract them and need to build custom tool to repack them.)
- Main scripts are in tmx_event.arc. Unpack the arc file to get scripts in .sbin format.
- Note: For Love Plus + (Love Plus Plus), .sbin files for Love Plus + will need to be decoded with TXRC tool first. (Love Plus's sbin files do not need it.)

In the files I extracted, all the text was there, it just had a bunch of junk data at the beginning, and couldn't be extracted like the TLWiki crew did.

edit: It seems there was an error in communication or something, but all the text is there. You have to scroll to the bottom of a file to see it.

The junk within the text actually separates different dialogue boxes, or is a spot where a name variable is called.

I'm still not sure we should go ahead with this with the scripts still at that state though...

It should work fine because the TLWiki project has all of the scripts. Any other files that don't correspond to anything the TLWiki has, aren't text files.

Dgrin asked me to post the order we're going to be doing things in.

1. Clean and Organize LP Script
2. Find which scripts correspond to NLP+ scripts
3. Insert the English text
4. Rip images from NLP+ for image editing/translation
   • (This doesn't have to be done here. It's just more convenient to place it somewhere)
5. Get a competent translator to translate the remaining NLP+ scripts.

looks ok till about the middle, there’s a 30 character limit per line so don't forget when deleting an unnecessary symbol to press enter to take the sentence into a new line..

I'm now patching and testing some of the edited files, we'll eventually need people who have Japanese skills to translated the remaining scripts that will be left in Japanese. Try to reach out to people on twitter or perhaps some Manga / anime subbing groups that might be interested in this and link them to this thread here.

About translators: you're going to want ones who have done game translations before, which is entirely different than anime/manga translation.

we have had great progress with the scripts, after watching this I think for the next patch we should prioritize some of the more prominent scripts first like the "Conversations in Love Plus Mode", etc..

I think we should wait to release patches until after we've organized all the scripts and ported all of the original LP scripts to NLP+.

Yeah, though people can still manually patch these files themselves, the instructions are in the first post and we'll eventually need some people testing the scripts when we get more of them done..
