Actually, I was about to request this. Specifically:
High Res, dof blur, and 60 fps in one. My eternal thanks if someone could save me the time of learning all this right now and help :).

Thanks guys this forum has been great

Also, it's unfortunately still doing that thing where I loot bodies and I can't see the full item stats. Is there a fix for this? If it's too much of a pain no worries, 1.2 is great as well. But I feel like all that together could be...1.3! Shh.
You can't have high res and 60fps in one because the game will decrease resolution to maintain it's target FPS... And it's barely reach 60fps even at lowest res + highest OC. If you force lowest res at high value... well the game will struggle for 30fps (or even lower like 20-25 fps)

Here's my config based on HighRes ver with DOF, SSAO enabled, adjusted TAA quality, also reduced handeld mode graphics quality for better performance and resolutions

Sxos works witch sysmodules like sys-clk? I thought the sysmodules doesn’t work in sxos 3.0.0.
Thanks!

I thought so too, and while I haven't checked the logs to MAKE SURE it's working, my switch gets hot and slowly drains while plugged in, and these mods are working without fps drops so far so I'm 99% sure it's no placebo. I used the version in this thread, might have made a difference I didn't look too far into it until others confirmed it worked. Definitely give it a shot, I'm using sys-clk and the editor with no problems

I have just downloaded a few of the configs but not sure about the changes against performance...
Which update config you reckon works best for a NON OC Switch?? In terms of visual improvements without much performance hit (I know, I'm asking too much).
I do not mind losing FPS as long as I have a visually improved yet playable game, DOF and the sort would be great to have too.
Thx!

PS.: Base game really sucks... thanks to all of you for making this possible

UPDATE: Ok, so I've gone through testing every single .pak in the 1st page and those added by the contributors on different pages, and I've come to the conclusion that Huy98vn's config at the top of this page looks best IMHO on handheld/non-OC mode. Perfect balance of updated graphics, performance and overall look and feel, but would be happy to be argued against.

Well I got one of these and overclocking seems to just drain the battery at the same rate. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
I have a 10000mah pack that works out to 6000+ real world and I think I've gotten around 3 hours max using 768mhz. Then another 2.5 or 3 hours at 460mhz once it dies.

Hay bro, i used you setting config. I think your config is a verry perfect. I am so proud if you mod that config with more foliage. Its verry cool. The best config ^_^

To make Anisotropy working for better textures just change MinMagFilter=linear to MinMagFilter=aniso in BaseSwitchDeviceProfiles.ini
Example:
Code:
+TextureLODGroups=(Group=TEXTUREGROUP_World,MinLODSize=1,MaxLODSize=512,LODBias=0,MinMagFilter=aniso,MipFilter=point,MipGenSettings=TMGS_SimpleAverage)

Update anisotrophy filtering for my config thank to @Stepik

Thank you guys for these great mods, it has actually made the game playable (even with stock clocks) :) I was waiting for this game for so long and was disappointed with its initial release. I'm a little surprised by how big of a difference these mods made and why the Virtuous team did not experiment a little more with the settings. Well hopefully in the next update so others with patched switches can enjoy it as well :)

In fact #outerworldALTconfig.rar i not see more foliage. I think is a same. I guess with #outerworldconfig.rar have a more of foliage then #outerworldALTconfig.rar is a little bit of foliage.

If they only built this FOR the switch and then ported it out other places. The problem is the assets are all just blurry approximations of other software. I kinda thought that's what they were doing with the delay compared to other consoles. Also thought DLC would come with switch release but I digress.

Future companies take note: if you want your game to run and look good on the switch without help from people on this site, rebuild the world or at least choose an art style like cell shading or botw.

That said, I love this game now thanks to you all <3. And grudgingly Obsidian, because they try hard

Edit: I tried the max res file, and it actually did pretty well in handheld. Otherwise for all around good, @Huy98vn has uploaded what, to me, are the best compromise between fps and graphics yet. 100% improvement. I even get dof unplugged lol

Just tried your updated config with updated anisotropic filtering... looks even better tbh. Great job, thanks so much for allowing me to enjoy this otherwise great game :D

I'm pretty sure it have more foliage (the same setting with docked mode - increasing foliage quality even higher is a bad idea), load in first area, take screenshots and you'll see the difference

P/S: Seem SSR is pretty taxing as the screenshot of ALT ver have slightly better resolutions?

What are the best Clocks for your foliage mod?

You can adjust SSR buy whese commands:
r.SSR.Quality=
r.SSR.Temporal=
r.SSR.MaxRoughness=

Switching AA filter in Deferred Rendering
[/Script/Engine.RendererSettings]
r.DefaultFeature.AntiAliasing= ; 0 - none 1- FXAA 2 - TemporalAA
