Alright, this is the best advice I can give and I hope these steps helps
You need download this file as well download the panasonic SD formatting tool here.
Now back up all your files onto your computer reformat your card with these setting; FORMAT TYPE - FULL (OverWrite) : FORMAT SIZE ADJUSTMENT - ON.
I believe your card works with YSMenu in some way, so set that up using Retro's files here
Now patch your rom with the patch I posted and try to run the game that way

Can I just format using the PC's option to format? Mmm... let me try...

Despite what is listed in the group of working flashcarts, I have an M3i Zero (GMP-Z003) version flashcart that seems to be working fine.

I patched a clean ROM file with the IPS patch using windhex. I loaded the game on a 3DS and it created a save file, and loaded the game fine. I started a new game, put in my name and gender and I played the game to the point of being able to save the game. I then turned off the 3DS, turned it back on and the game loaded fine and resumed where I had saved.

I hope this gives some hope to us few that are using the M3i Zero (GMP-Z003) cart.

A note to the moderator of this thread:

In case you missed my earlier post, a patched ROM does work on the M3i Zero (GMP-Z003) cart........

Same as twin, I'm not sure about that cart
But it has been listed as working
If the steps on the OP arent working, try with a different rom, different patcher and maybe firmware
And look around page 40-50, thats when everyone started to make breakthroughs.

Apparently I am not making myself clear....... on page one of this thread the following is posted:

*If you have a newer "GMP-Z003" flashcart, then you're limited to TouchPod or Sakura loaders, in which case you'll never be able to load this ROM.

What I am trying to say is my M3i Zero GMP-Z003 cart IS WORKING and I am pointing out that you may want to change the above referenced statement that it is NOT working....

For anyone wondering if they should try this game. It is a game similar to Final Fantasy Tactics. It starts out slow and boring, but if you stick with it, it will become really fun. I almost gave up on it, but it is really good. Lot's of RPG elements added not seen in the main Pokemon games.

No sorry I used Ysmenu 6.79 and nothing (the one in the link u gave me) AND I patched a clean rom with the patch u gave me by the way...

I have a newbie question (that I hope is appropriate for this thread) for anyone that cares to answer:

How come the "patched" Pokemon Conquest ROM (and I don't really understand what the patching does and why there seems to be different patches and not a single universal patch) doesn't work universally for all the various carts?

I would think that the patching process removes the code that keeps carts from loading the ROM and once your remove (and/or replace) the code it should work for everyone.

So why is everyone having so many problems?

Depends on how the patch is programmed and what it does to the rom
Then how that matches up with whats on your firmware.

So as far as I'm aware it technically should be working. Though it seems that from further inspection, that the errcode=-4 error means that the dump's gamecode isn't listed in the flash cart's system files. If this is the case, I'm assuming that your patches listed in your post are supposed to include that?

The point of the YSmenu one with the two files is to allow your flashcart to read the game using YSmenu
Although when done right, errors do still occur sometimes, and thats usually down to the rom and an error within or the firmware of your flashcart it seems.
With diddy, your wood isnt at the required stage to launch that game but your YS is. Some work differently with different roms, thats why i like to have both on hand.

I've been trying to get the game to work on my flashcart. It's a R4i-SDHC 3DS card running Ver.1.57b, whatever that means.
I'm new to this stuff and when I loaded the game it says "load rom errcode=-4"
Any help is appreciated.
