You need a normal Gamecube memory card to save GC backups right? Can anyone recommend a memory card that would be big enough to save lots of games on? Back when I had my Gamecube the memory cards were so small.
I read that lots of 3rd party memory cards do not work, is there one with large capacity that works all the time? Nintendo themselves never got to big did they?
there are from 128 MB:

QUOTE(gbaguy @ Sep 20 2009, 05:45 AM) Hi,
I'm pretty new to Wii hacking.
Months ago, I used a guide to do the Twilight hack and install the homebrew channel. I tried to install DVDx but it froze IIRC so I had to reset. That's where my hacking ended, but I've used the Wii to play many times since. I am using firmware v3.3U and have never updated. HBC appears fine but I have nothing in it.
I want to hack my Wii so I can play my backups and maybe VC WADs occasionally. Maybe also play DVDs the odd time but not a biggie.
OK, I just got Wii Sports Resort (retail) and it wants to update to a new system menu (probably v4.1). My question right now is should I let it update to 4.1U? In other words, will I lose any of the hacking I've done above? Also, is there any other hacks/installs/anything I SHOULD do BEFORE I update my system -- in case updating to 4.1U blocks me from further hacks? I read that if you didn't do the Twilight hack and updated the menu it prevented you from doing it afterwards. I want to play WSR but am afraid of updating.
Sorry if anything isn't clear. I am new to this and don't really understand everything I did in the guide. I just followed it.
Please help. Thanks.
