i have most of the nro's in the /root/switch/ folder such as retroarch diff ones, even tetris homebrew, but still after loading hbmenu 2.0 i get ""no applications could be found on the sd card."" any ideas? :/
Maybe you dont have the right firmware ,hbmenu only works on 3.0
Correct, i just put that there to annotate rootThere is no "root" folder. Just put them in a "switch" folder directly on the card.
i.e. (assuming Windows) E:\switch\<some>.nro
HMMM, where does it say fat32 only? i thought and have heard from ppl that exFAT works just fine.Did you format the card with fat32 and checked it for filesystem errors already?
128gb samsung pro :/ i did a quick fat32 format and switch said couldnt use it on startup, so im doing a low level fat32 format but that's 3 1/2 hours from now, so if anyone has any other ideas.Well, just trying to rule things out.
How big is the sd card?
Have you tried another card?

It was exFAT before I started format to FAT32 and switch used it just fine. :/No need to low level fat32 format it. Your card won't be recognized by the switch unless your switch has the exfat update, which it obviously does not. Just use windows format to format it to fat32, should work fine, it has for hundreds if not thousands of others...
Windows won't make FAT32 partitions larger than 32GB, he needs to use another tool such as guiformat or Minitool Partition Wizard. No need to low level fat32 format it. Oh, well it seems you should be able to solve all this on your own then, shouldn't be too hard to figure out, I'm not even sure why you're asking for help?
yeah thats how i had my folder/stuffs like, i guess ill try the renaming snes emu to hbmenu as that's all i really want :-pscreen shot of the folder structure?
If you're getting to hbmenu, it's reading the hbmenu.nro correctly off the SD card. So that should leave only the folder structure and the actual .nro files that you're using as potential problems.
It should look like:
sd:/hbmenu.nro
sd:/switch/app1.nro
sd:/switch/app2.nro
sd:/switch/folder/app3.nro
You also might be able to just rename another nro to hbmenu.nro and replace hbmenu with it. Then using the web exploit should launch it.
Not sure if you saw this, but please try it, it worked for me.yeah thats how i had my folder/stuffs like, i guess ill try the renaming snes emu to hbmenu as that's all i really want :-p
This exact same thing happened to me bro. What you have to do is copy all your files on the SD card and put it in a folder on your PC. Format the SD with guiformat, just default settings. After, copy files back over and it should work
